In the digital era, video editing applications are among the most widely used tools, as students tend to be more engaged with video-based content than with text-based learning materials. This study aims to improve teaching methods by empowering teachers to create engaging learning videos using digital applications. The program was implemented at SDN 133 Inpres Paririsi Takalar, involving 27 elementary school teachers with diverse educational backgrounds, teaching subjects, and teaching experience. A Practical and Participatory training model was applied over a two-month period. Evaluations were conducted before and after the training to assess its effectiveness in enhancing teachers’ video editing skills. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers' abilities to use video editing applications and increased confidence in delivering digital-based learning content. The main challenges faced by teachers included limited initial digital literacy and time constraints during implementation. This study contributes to addressing the digital content creation skill gap among elementary school teachers. The expected outputs include: (1) a user guide module for video editing applications, (2) publication in an accredited national journal, and (3) enrichment materials for the Multimedia Systems course. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of the training and its applicability to other educational levels.
Amaliah Faradibah, Dewi Widyawati, Poetri Lestari Lokapitasari Belluano, A. Through good learning design, learning activities will encourage students to be more active and achieve learning objectives. Therefore, teachers need to have the ability to design learning that suits the needs of students. Activities to improve the ability of sociology teachers to design learning aim to create learning conditions that are in line with the needs of students. This activity increases the opportunity to develop effective and efficient learning conditions according to the characteristics of students and school facilities. The stages of the activity are divided into three, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. In the planning activity, coordination was carried out with the community namely MGMP Sosiologi in Malang Raya and East Jawa in SMA and MA as activity partners. In addition, with the involvement of MGMP, information was obtained on urgent needs from sociology teachers, especially in Malang Raya. The implementation mechanism in divided into two, namely offline and online. Online activities are divided into two sessions discussing learning achievements and innovative learning models. The offline session discusses assessment, preparation of teaching modules, and understanding by design. The evaluation results show that the majority of participants get a good impact from the activities such as understanding the material and experience received during the activities from the methods used by the speakers. Based on the training results, teacher are encourage to be able to desaign learning according to the applicable curriculum.
Seli Septiana Pratiwi, Alan Sigit Fibrianto, Nanda Harda Pratama Meiji, Deny Wahyu Apriyadi Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/870 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Penguatan Pemahaman Literasi Keuangan di Era Smart 5.0 kepada Siswa MAN Kabupaten Karimun https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/849
The Smart 5.0 era, characterized as the pinnacle of technological transformation, necessitates continuous improvement in individuals' comprehension and literacy competency, particularly in financial literacy. Financial literacy encompasses an individual's abilities, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors related to managing personal monetary assets. However, empirical evidence suggests that students, especially in disadvantaged areas, demonstrate a limited understanding of financial literacy. This Community Service was conducted with the objective of enhancing financial literacy comprehension among MAN students in the Karimun Regency. The activity took place in MAN Karimun Hall on August 26-27, 2024, with 220 students in attendance. The PKM method is carried out through face-to-face training activities by implementing the management functions of planning, organizing, implementing, controlling, and evaluating. The evaluation of this community service program the following outcomes: 1) The financial literacy strengthening program was implemented effectively in accordance with established plans. 2) Students demonstrated comprehension of the financial literacy material presented by the speakers. 3) Students also exhibited an understanding of the significance of developing financial literacy competencies (personal finance) from an early age in the Smart 5.0 era, enabling them to manage and plan their finances optimally in the future. This PKM still focuses on improving the understanding of financial management at the MAN student level, and further PKM needs to be carried out starting with elementary and junior high school students so that MAN students are not late in understanding financial literacy competencies.
Catur Fatchu Ukhriyawati, Sri Mulyati, Paras Faturohim, Lukmanul Hakim, Ramon Zamora, Ravika Permata Hati, Celina Cicilia Margaritha, Albert Efendi Pohan Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/849 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Pendampingan Program Inklusi Sosial pada Komunitas Perempuan Pembaca dalam Mewujudkan Kampung Tematik Hantaran Kota Surabaya https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/892
Social welfare program can be achieved through the development of empowered and inclusive communities. This study focuses on mentoring women reader communities through the Kampung Tematik Hantaran program as an effort to develop creative literacy and empower women. The program adopts the concept of a thematic village, focusing on hantaran (gift arrangements, commonly for weddings) as creative products with market potential. The approach used is Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), which emphasizes the utilization of local assets as the foundation for community development. Community-based mentoring was conducted in RW 05 Balongsari, supported by the mobile literacy service LINKSMOKA. The results show increased skills in arranging hantaran, greater participation of women in local economic activities, and growing interest in reading as well as stronger social networks among community members. This mentoring initiative demonstrates that strengthening literacy and community-based creative economies can effectively promote sustainable social inclusion.
Syafi'i Syafi'i, Shofah Novia Adibatus Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/892 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Kenali Potensimu: Mengenal Bakat dan Minat Sejak Usia Dini untuk Meningkatkan Percaya Diri dan Perencanaan Masa Depan https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/914
Talent and interest are important components that are interconnected in helping children develop, especially in achieving educational goals. Talent is an innate potential that needs to be trained and developed in a structured manner, while interest is an individual's tendency to focus on things they like. Lack of attention to children's talents and interests can hinder the development of their potential. In addition, lack of facilities and pressure from schoolwork are often the main obstacles. Psychoeducation is one of the effective interventions to help children and teachers recognize and develop children's talents and interests optimally. This community service activity was carried out at SDS Punna Karya, Curug, Tangerang, involving students in grades 1–6 and teachers as participants. This activity is intended to provide students with a new understanding of the importance of identifying their interests and talents to discover their potential, set goals, and stay motivated to learn. For one month (October 11 to November 2, 2023), this program was implemented with a qualitative approach through the psychoeducational method. The results of the community service showed that providing psychoeducation helped students understand their interests and talents, increased their motivation to learn, and encouraged them to be more confident in exploring their potential. In addition, support from the school, teachers, and the surrounding environment plays an important role in the success of developing children's talents and interests. By maximizing their potential, children are expected to be able to achieve optimal results in their education and life.
Novia Purba, Fellicya Audreynadhine Haryadi Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/914 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 The Pembentukan Peer Counselor Sebagai Upaya Social Support dan Upaya Preventif Terhadap Isu-Isu Kesehatan Mental pada Mahasiswa di Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/929
Mental health issues among university students have become an increasingly urgent concern, including at Duta Wacana Christian University (UKDW) Yogyakarta, which currently has around 3,500 active students. This community service program aimed to enhance social support and promote preventive efforts against mental health problems through the establishment of peer counselors within the campus environment. The program was implemented from January to March 2024, with student participants from the Counseling Division of LPKKSK UKDW as the main target group. The implementation was carried out in several stages: participant selection, basic counseling skills training conducted over three sessions, roleplay practice, and a final stage involving the socialization of the counseling service flow and referral system. The results showed a significant increase in participants' knowledge and counseling skills, as evidenced by the paired samples t-test, which yielded a p-value of 0.016. The rise in average scores from pre-test to post-test, along with reduced score variance among participants, reflects the uniform effectiveness of the training provided. The implication of this program highlights that involving peer counselors can serve as an effective solution to the limited availability of professional counselors on campus. Moreover, it strengthens a community-based support ecosystem, empowers students as agents of change, and offers a scalable model for psychosocial intervention that could be replicated in other higher education settings.
Angelina Dyah Arum Setyaningtyas, Dewi Soerna Anggraeni, Komang Mahadewi Sandiasih Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/929 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Komunikasi Pemasaran Rajutan Bunga Mawar untuk Kesehatan Lansia: Bedak Dingin, Lulur, dan Aromaterapi Anti-Hipertensi https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/869
This community empowerment program addresses the limited marketing communication capacity among elderly artisan groups in Bakalan Village, Malang Regency, particularly in promoting health-based rose knitting products. The main objective is to enhance the skills of elderly artisans in designing, producing, and marketing innovative rose-knitted items that support elderly well-being while preserving local culture. The method applied is a participatory approach that includes training, mentoring, and cyclical evaluation. The program focused on developing rose-knitted products tailored to the elderly, such as containers for cold powder and scrubs, anti-hypertensive aromatherapy pouches, and sun-protection hats. These innovations were supported by visual branding, authentic advertising messages, and digital promotion through platforms like Instagram and YouTube (@bungapuspaofficial), as well as publication in national media outlets such as Times Indonesia and Pendoposatu.id. The results indicate significant improvement in marketing communication strategies and increased product visibility. Although limited advanced knitting skills among some elderly posed challenges, younger participants were involved to ensure continuity and innovation. This collaborative process underscores the potential of rose-themed products not only to enhance elderly health but also to strengthen local identity through Islamic floral symbolism, particularly the rose. The program concludes that ongoing training and strategic marketing communication are vital for sustaining artisan-based health products, stimulating the local creative economy, and reinforcing cultural values in Muslim-majority communities.
Maya Diah Nirwana, Nia Ashton Destrity , Ima Hidayati Utami Copyright (c) 2025 Society : Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/869 Fri, 31 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Optimalisasi Pemasaran Digital Sirup Jeruk Terusan melalui Pelatihan Manajemen Modern dan Integrasi Website-WhatsApp API https://e-journals.dinamika.ac.id/society/article/view/1219
This community service activity targets a home industry known as Rumah Produksi Sirup Jeruk Terusan, located in Desa Terusan, Musi Rawas Utara Regency, which serves as a center for citrus cultivation. The primary issues faced by the partner include limited understanding of modern management, especially in financial management, business planning, and human resource management; underutilization of digital marketing; and challenges related to access and management of digital technology. The objectives of this activity were to enhance the managerial skills of the partner through modern management practices, optimize the use of digital marketing technologies such as social media, websites, and WhatsApp API integration, and strengthen the competitiveness of local products in broader markets. The implementation method consisted of systematic stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring, evaluation, and program sustainability efforts. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in the managerial capacity of the partner. Based on the pretest and posttest evaluations, the recap indicated a considerable increase. The average improvement in managerial skills after participating in the series of training and mentoring activities reached 35.3%. This improvement confirms that the implemented program successfully delivered a tangible impact on enhancing the partner’s knowledge and skills in applying modern management practices.. Furthermore, the partner successfully developed an active e-commerce website integrated with a WhatsApp API Gateway system to facilitate swift and efficient communication and product ordering. The website is accessible at https://siruplimau-desaterusan.com/. However, there is a problem where Limasan's Finest does not yet have a complete and consistent visual identity. This issue can be seen from the existence of two completely different menu book designs. For this reason, the community service team provided assistance and developed a new visual identity for this restaurant. The implementation method consisted of an initial survey process, observation, visual identity design, menu book and uniform design, printing, and submission of the results. A total of eight employees, including the restaurant owner, received guidance on the importance of visual identity for a restaurant. The result of the visual identity development is a new logo with a stronger design and a color palette that aligns with the restaurant's philosophy. Both are applied to the menu book design and employee uniforms. This community engagement program was implemented in Busalangga Barat Village, Rote Ndao Regency, aiming to revitalize the local value of madene and introduce a Microsoft Excel VBA-based village administration information system. The program utilized community education, technology simulation, advocacy, mediation, and consultation methods, structured into four stages: problem identification, material development, core implementation, and remote monitoring and evaluation. The program began with a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving traditional leaders, village officials, youth, and women's groups. The discussion generated a shared awareness that madene—as a cultural expression of mutual cooperation—remains relevant in restoring participatory governance and village deliberation practices. The system training enabled village officials to manage population data and generate administrative documents automatically. The application also integrates real-time population updates, such as changes following birth, death, or migration events. This activity demonstrates that cross-regional collaboration combining local values with appropriate digital technology can drive social transformation and improve public service delivery at the village level.
